A Game of Thrones

A bannerman to the Lannisters of Casterly Rock. He is the heir to Ashemark. His banner is a burning tree, orange and smoke. He is described as being a rangy man with long coppery hair to his shoulders. He rides a spirited red courser who's mane is the same color of his hair. He is Commander of Lord Tywin's outriders and scouts.
He commands the right in the fight against Robb Stark's men south of the Twins. His men captured Lor Cerwyn, Ser Wylis Manderly, Harrion Karstark, and four Freys.
A Clash of Kings
He and his men are the first men to leave Harrenhal, a day before the rest. Forced to retreat three times fighting around Riverrun. Rewarded by the king for his part in the Battle of the Blackwater.
A Storm of Swords
Named Lord Commander of the City watch by Lord Tywin. Ordered to hire on more guardsmen to search for Tyrek Lannister, who had gone missing in a riot. Escorts Tyrion to meet the Dornishmen. Gives Joffrey silver spurs as a wedding present. Becomes Jaime's sparring partner when Jaime tries to fight lefthanded.
